Summary of House Session

While I voted against the gambling bill, I think that we got a number of other good things done in this session. The biggest may be the redistricting plan which has been widely praised for the increase it creates in the number of districts from which minority candidates may potentially be elected.

I encourage you to continue to oppose casinos here. It’s fun when you win, but usually you lose which is why casinos can spend so much money on advertising and inexpensive drinks. It can be tragic for those who cannot control their gambling and the unfortunate consequences usually effect family members. There has to be [...]
