Fiscal 2008 Budget Priorities
Attached is my letter to the House Ways and Means Chair regarding budget
priorities. This is a letter that most legislators write. It is input
towards building the House budget.
This isn’t every money item that I will be working on – some specific items
may get addressed in bond bills later.
My approach to this stage of the process was to be relatively focused – some
legislators write much longer letters. But considering that the Ways and
Means Committee is processing input from all 160 members of the House, a
brief listing of highest priorities seemed the way to go.
At a later point in the process, there may be opportunities for you to
demonstrate support for some of these items. I’ll keep you posted.
